Transitional Housing for Young Ladies Aging Out of Foster Care
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
- 1 Timothy 4:12 (NIV)
AWAKEN is our program designed specifically for young ladies aged 18-23 who have recently aged out of foster care. We offer transitional housing that encompasses a holistic approach to support their transition into independent adulthood. Alongside safe and comfortable housing, we provide comprehensive services such as mental health counseling, physical health coaching, emotional well-being support, psychosocial guidance, and spiritual leadership and mentorship. Participants in our transitional living program who meet prerequisites and succesfully complete a year in the program will be afforded the opportunity to apply to rent one of our two-bedroom homes, enabling them to further develop their independence. We also collaborate with community agencies to assist our residents with educational support, including GED attainment, postsecondary options, career readiness, and potential career placement.
- Holistic support for transitioning to independent adulthood
- Comprehensive services for mental, physical, and emotional well-being
- Educational and career support for future success
